Accountability promotes engagement and ownership because everyone clearly knows what his or her responsibilities and expectations. It is business critical, as the concept enhances ethics, improved performance, standing by decisions, actions, and the overall well-being of the firm.

DAMORPHE is committed to driving sound corporate governance through accountability and has adopted policies that promote effective functioning of our Board of Directors, its committees, and our corporation. Board accountability is a key element of our strong corporate governance.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of DAMORPHE, its affiliates and its SBUs are elected by our shareholders to represent them in the oversight, insight and foresight of short and long-term goals, financial stability, and our overall success.

Given their expertise, we are highly honored that those highlighted herein, have mutually agreed and committed to serve as Directors in DAMORPHE or in one or more affiliates and SBUs.

Kamel Ben Naceur

Kamel Ben Naceur is the Chairman of DAMORPHE and an Executive Director of DAMORPHE, its affiliates and its SBUs. He is also the 2022 President of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE). He was previously the Chief Economist for Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC); the Director for Sustainability, Technology and Outlooks at the International Energy Agency (IEA), where his teams led the Agency’s Energy Technology Perspectives and the World Energy Outlook, as well as roadmaps for sustainable energy systems, ahead of the Paris Conference of Parties, and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. In 2014, Ben Naceur was appointed as the honorable Minister for Industry, Energy and Mines of Tunisia, where he launched several initiatives to transform the sectors, including a long-term strategy, the reform of energy subsidies, and a new law for the country’s renewable energy sector. From 1981 to 2013, he held key positions with Schlumberger, including Chief Economist and Technology President. 

Ting Chen Roy

Ting Chen Roy is an Executive Director of DAMORPHE, its affiliates and its SBUs. Roy is a former Research Affiliate, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and among many other accolades has been a Young Scientist awardee from National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE)  and The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS). She has over 50 publications, patents, proceedings, including invited talks at NACE, TMS American Chemical Society (ACS) and Offshore Technology Conference (OTC). She has led National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) – Baker Hughes joint project in Celle, Germany, to improve fatigue life of drill collars by surface SPD. Roy holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Mechanical Engineering. 

Indranil Roy

Indranil Roy is an Executive Director of DAMORPHE, its affiliates and its SBUs. Roy is a “University of California, Regents Fellow” with a Ph.D. in Engineering focusing on design and processing of bulk nanomaterials. He also has an Executive MBA from Jones School of Business, Rice University. Roy has authored over 100 publications, proceedings and delivered numerous invited talks both nationally and internationally. He has over 80 patents/patent applications. He is the chairman of he Minerals, Metals & Materials Society (TMS) subcommittee for Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) and has served as one of ten industry advisors to TMS.

Jing Zhou

Jing Zhou is a committed Independent Director of DAMORPHE. She is Mary Gibbs Jones Professor of Management, Organizational Behavior Area Coordinator, Director for Asian Management Research and Education, and Director of Ph.D. Program at the Jones Graduate School of Business of Rice University. Zhou has been elected to Fellow of the Academy of Management, Fellow of American Psychological Association, Fellow of Association for Psychological Sciences, and Fellow of Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.  Prior to Rice, she was an associate professor and Mays Faculty Fellow in the Management Department at the Mays Business School of Texas A&M University. 

Christian Wilkinson

Chris Wilkinson is an Executive Director of DAMORPHE Energy and HFRAC Technologies (an independent affiliate of DAMORPHE). Prior to his current role, Wilkinson spent 19 years in Schlumberger in various Engineering functions. His last role was as the Engineering Manager for two Engineering centers where he was responsible for New Product Development for the Drill Stem Testing, Reservoir Sampling and Analysis and Perforating product lines.  He has co-authored several publications, proceedings and patents. He has a Ph.D. from Imperial College in Mechanical Engineering.

Ram Shenoy

Ram Shenoy is an Executive Director of HFRAC Technologies (an independent affiliate of DAMORPHE). He serves on several advisory boards, most notably he has served on the US Energy Secretary’s Advisory Board. He was the Chief Technology Officer of ConocoPhillips. In his career with Schlumberger, Shenoy held several key management positions, the Managing Director, Doll Research Center, Boston; Director and Technology & Center Manager, S.K.K., Japan; and as the Vice President of Research. He has a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and an Executive MBA from Stern School of Business, New York University. 

Kenneth Sumner

Kenneth Sumner is an Executive Director of HFRAC Technologies (an independent affiliate of DAMORPHE). Sumner is a transactional and litigation attorney with years of experience in Business Litigation, Advising Startup Businesses, Probate, Estate Law, Estate and Trust Litigation, Contested Guardianships, and a range of other specialties. He began his career working for a large Houston Law Firm after graduation from the University of Houston Law Center in 2006. Sumner partnered with Paul Romano to open his Sugar Land law practice in 2013.

Gustavo Grullon

Gustavo Grullon is a committed Independent Director of HFRAC Technologies (an independent affiliate of DAMORPHE). He is the Jesse H. Jones Professor of Finance at the Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. Grullon is an expert in several areas of corporate finance, including corporate investment, corporate financing, payout policy, business valuation, real options valuation, and mergers and acquisitions and teaches courses in the MBA and Ph.D. Programs. His research has been published in several top-finance journals and featured in the Financial Times, the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Wall Street Journal. He has a Ph.D. in finance from Cornell University.

Hifzi Ardic

Hifzi Ardic is an independent director of DAMORPHE, and an executive Director of DAMORPHE Energy. He is currently the Senior Advisor at Canrig Drilling Technology Ltd., a vertically integrated engineering entity with Nabors, focused on designing and manufacturing premier line of automated drilling equipment and rig components as part of the Nabors SmartRig® family of products. He has spent more than three decades with the world’s largest oilfield service company, Schlumberger. Ardic is a decorated technology leader with brilliant accomplishments having advanced degrees in mechanical engineering and business from Columbia Business School. He will be a stalwart in establishing solid engineering fundamentals for our research and technology teams, instill focus and a drive to achieve milestones, guiding us to success.
